We have just funded an improvement board costing £143 for the Mary Seacole Therapies Team.

The team attended Quality Improvement session run by the Trust, focusing on identifying what the team want to achieve in terms of change, new projects and service improvement for the next 12 months and beyond. The overarching focus was to be on more collaborative care with the patients on Mary Seacole Ward, delivering better quality care in a more timely and efficient manner, and becoming more creative in how they can deliver new treatments and new experiences, that tackle the issues their patients face in their recovery.

In his bid for funds the team leader said: "To help us to  gather evidence and demonstrate effective change (improved patient experience, improved number of treatments patients receive, patients feeling engaged and making decisions in their care, people being better prepared to leave hospital and stay fit and well at home) the QI team have recommended installing a board on the ward or in the therapy office. This will help myself and my team to deliver all of the above, track improvement, evidence the impact we have had on patients, and help us plan for even more innovation."
