Donating 3 new iPads for Neurorehab- £1,578

The 3 inpatient teams needed new ipads as the ones they had were so old they couldn't be updated.

Most Speech and Language Therapy impairment tasks are now done on computers, specifically iPads. They are portable & easy to use by patients. The team does not have access to subscription therapy services in the NHS, but they can buy one-off apps eg Cuespeak (which was kindly funded recently by Friends QMH). There is significant evidence to show that increased ‘dosage’ of aphasia therapy leads to improved outcomes. Having 3 new iPads will enable the dosage of therapy to increase as Speach and Language Therapists, patients & other support staff will be able to work with patients. The trust does not supply apple products.
