Bariatric Wheelchair Donation £1719

Another donation for the ever improving Mary Seacole Therapies Team for a plus size wheelchair and cushion.

This will accommodate our plus size patients, and they can visit the gym, therapy spaces - kitchen, bedroom etc. and also trips into the garden (this is very important for cognitive stimulation, friends and family visits and is mood enhancing).

The ward are able to hire bariatric wheelchairs in, but the patient has usually arrived on the ward, then needs to wait for a hire wheelchair to appear.
